Not quite ready for Carnegie Hall
I can vouch for the fact that I'm much better as a translator than as an er-hu player, but the orchestra tolerated me for a year anyway.

My on-site oral interpretation work has contributed to the success of the most technically demanding multilingual events, from international conferences to complex seminar presentations, press conferences and site visits. I've been academically trained as a conference interpreter at the Graduate Institute of Translation and Interpretation Studies at Taiwan's Fujen Catholic University, and I also hold certificates in medical interpreting, consecutive and simultaneous interpretation from other academic institutions. I have also taught oral interpretation for the Republic of China's Diplomatic Corps Training Institute and at National Taiwan University.

My practice has included work as an interpreter under contract for the US Department of State, as well as handling major events for National Geographic, the United States Trade Representative, the American Institute in Taiwan, the British Council, the American Chamber of Commerce, the ROC Environmental Protection Agency, the Taipei City Government, and other distinguished clients. I work in all three recognized modes of interpretation: simultaneous, consecutive and escort.

I love your translations of news from the Chinese language papers here...Bravo!! I read them all.
